Silky in Navy

Updated: Dec 20, 2021

Back again with yet another monochromatic silk outfit. Are we surprised?

I love wearing silk because it is so comfortable, yet stylish. When I initially thought of this outfit, I was worried that it looked too pajama-esque. But, with the right accessories, I was able to elevate the look. I finally got to wear my new Theory silk blouse, which I paired with my rag & bone striped silk pants. I love the sporty accent that the red stripe gives to these pants.

I also layered my outfit with yet another vintage find. I visited a vintage store in East Village called Cure Thrift Shop and came across this beautiful black and gold cardigan. I knew if I didn’t get it, I would regret it. So, I gave in, and splurged. It was the perfect cardigan to pair with my outfit for the day, especially because it was getting chillier at night. The best part about this outfit was how comfortable it was. I honestly felt like I was wearing sweats the entire day. Especially when walking around the city all day, you want to be in something comfy!

I played on with the gold theme and accessorized with my gold purse and new Gucci flats. These flats have become my new favorite shoe (and they are also surprisingly very comfortable).
