When we are traveling, my mom, sister, and I always love going to local vintage shops to find unique, one-of-a-kind pieces. When we were visiting my aunt’s beach house in North Carolina for spring break, my mom looked up local boutiques that we could visit as our activity for the day. I was skeptical because I didn’t think I would find anything at a beach town shop in North Carolina of all places. But, to my surprise, the shop had so many interesting pieces!
After looking around, my sister found this beautiful bumble bee jacquard gold jacket that I instantly fell in love with. My sister was kind enough to let me have it and it has become one of my favorite jackets ever since.
Going into this store reminded me of how much I love finding these hidden treasures in small boutiques and vintage stores. It reminded me of the time I was in Iceland and got my favorite gold jeans. Iceland. The last place I would expect to find something fashionable. But I have gotten so much use out of those gold jeans! Never underestimate the city. Look in the right places and you’ll find interesting pieces that you would’ve never expected to find.
